Government House, The government organized a grand religious ceremony of 5 religions to honor His Majesty the King on the occasion of His Majesty's 6th cycle birthday anniversary on July 28, 2024. Mr. Settha Thavisin, Prime Minister and his wife presided over the religious ceremony of the 5 religions to offer royal merit and honor His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King's 6th cycle birthday anniversary on July 28, 2024, along with leaders of the 5 religions and the cabinet. The monks included Somdej Phra Buddhacarya of Wat Traimit Witthayaram, Somdej Phra Maha Thiracharya of Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimonmangklararm, Somdej Phra Maha Wirawong of Wat Ratchabophit Sathitmahasimaram, Phra Phrombandit of Wat Prayurawongsawas, Phra Phrom Senabodi of Wat Pathumkhongkha, Phra Phrom Wacharamethi of Wat Arunratchawararam, Wat Ratchathiwat, Phra Dhammakittimethi of Wat Hongrattanaram, Phra Thammawachiramethi, Phra Thammawachirathibodi of Wat Benchamabophit Dusitwanaram, and Phra Thep Wachiras unthon of Wat Phra Ram 9 Kanchanaphisek. When the Prime Minister arrived, he visited the religious objects of all five religions before presenting a candle and opening a tray in front of the portrait of His Majesty the King. The Prime Minister gave a speech of royal anthem to honor and offer auspicious blessings, saying, 'May Your Majesty the King bless you on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty's 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary on 28 July 2024. I, Mr. Settha Thavisin, along with the cabinet, representatives of Buddhist, Islamic, Christian, Hindu, and Sikh religious organizations, and the people who have gathered here, are all delighted and grateful for His Majesty's great kindness and grace, which is the greatest for being a part of this auspicious event for the nation. All of us admire His Majesty's greatness and realize that throughout the past, His Majesty has performed various royal duties with great diligence to relieve the suffering and promote the happiness of the Thai people. He is an example to the people in practicing the principles of the teachings of the religion. He has granted various and continuous royal patronage. As a result, there has been peace, tranquility, and happiness for Thai citizens who are followers of all religions. It has become known throughout the world that all religions and all Thai citizens have received such great royal grace. On this auspicious occasion, we, your subjects, would like to offer our best wishes for the auspicious occasion, with the power of the Triple Gem and the power of all sacred things, according to the reverence and faith of all religions, together with the merits of the royal merit that you have practiced and cultivated, may it result in the blessing that your Majesty may always be happy and joyful, may all your desired tasks be accomplished, and your fame spread in all directions without limit, and may the Thai people have peace of mind because of your royal care forever. Then, the music played the Royal Anthem. The Prime Minister lights incense and candles to worship the Triple Gem. In Buddhism, 10 monks chant Buddhist mantras to offer merit to the King. In Islam, Islamic religious leaders perform a dua ceremony to ask for blessings. In Christianity, Christian religious leaders perform a prayer ceremony to offer blessings. In Brahmanism-Hinduism, Brahmans chant blessings. And in Sikhism, religious teachers chant Ardas and Kirtan to ask for blessings from the Prophet. The Prime Minister presented souvenirs to the abbot and religious leaders of five religions before paying his respects to the Triple Gem and paying homage to His Majesty's portrait.
