"Patcharawat" orders urgent search for missing tourists at Phu Soi Dao National Park, supports helicopters to help track them down. Pol. Gen. Mr. Farut Chaithatsankul, Chief of Phu Soi Dao National Park, reported that the missing person, identified as Mr. Thanwarit, aged 27, had registered to hike up to the Phu Soi Dao pine forest since July 4, 2024. Officials discovered that after registering at the park office, Mr. Thanwarit did not sign in at the Phu Soi Dao pine forest as agreed upon. Phu Soi Dao National Park officials therefore began searching by organizing a force of 5 teams, consisting of officials from the national park, wildlife sanctuary, forest fire stations in nearby areas, the 2nd Phitsanulok National Park Rescue Center, Prasat Boon Sathan Foundation, the 315th Border Patrol Police Company, the 3203rd Ranger Company, Nam Pat District Defense Volunteers, Nam Pat Rescue Volunteers, and the Royal Forest Department. and 99 police officers from Nam Pat Police Station Today (July 7, 2024), the search began at 8:30 a.m. The plan is to have teams 1-4 cover the area around the point where the luggage was found within a radius of 1 square kilometer, with each point 50 meters apart, and team 5 to patrol both sides of the river in the area where the luggage was found down to service point 2 (Phu Soi Dao Waterfall). Each team has been instructed to report the results of their operations periodically, with Mr. Thotsaporn Phaphakun, Director of the National Park Division, commanding the overall situation in the area.
