Government House, The Prime Minister thanked the response to the Digital Wallet project after the number of people applying to use the 'Thang Rat' app increased significantly. Mr. Chai Wachirong, spokesman for the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that after the announcement of details of the participation in the 10,000 baht top-up project via Digital Wallet or the "Digital Wallet" project on July 24, 2024, which specified that people with smartphones who are interested in joining the project can register via the "Tang Rat" application from August 1 - September 15, 2024. This has resulted in a significant increase in the number of applications for government applications by citizens. Previously (before July 24, 2024), there were an average of 50,000-60,000 applications per day, while currently (after July 24, 2024), there have been an average of 800,000-900,000 applications per day, which is more than 10 times higher than the previous application amount. The government spokesman said that Prime Minister S ettha Thavisin acknowledged the significant increase in the usage of the 'Thang Rath' app, which is considered a result of the positive response, confidence, and hope for the government's economic stimulus policies. The government is ready to work for the people, to alleviate debt, ease expenses, improve the way of life of Thai people, and to create a ripple, an economic storm that will return to stimulate the country's economic system, leading to laying the foundation for a digital economy for Thailand in the near future. The government, through the Ministry of DE, has prepared more than 500 officers to support the operation of the system to facilitate, solve problems, and answer questions about digital wallet registration for the public.
